For me, it all started back in 1997 in Salonica, Greece. I was on the 3rd class of junior high-school. It was then, that I first came in contact with graffiti.
That happened when Maniac and I became friends and so he showed me his work. Maniac mainly drew tons of characters and painted walls at least twice a week. I liked what I saw and wanted to do some of my own stuff. I, soon, found out that I wasn't really cut for drawing characters, so I started doing mainstream letter styles.
Just a little time after, Maniac gave me a floppy disk with productions from abroad. I saw styles from great writers like Won and Toast and others... but the blast inside my brain cells occured only when I saw Daim's styles.. It was then that I decided the path that I would choose with my style.
From that magical moment on, Sandman and 3d graffiti would become unseperable! Ofcourse at the beginning my very first styles on paper where Daim lookalikes, but only for means of improvement and just for personal use -never on wall-.
Evolution, recognizability and originality in my style came with hard work and numerous time of drawing and observing space, lighting and shades. At the next three years of senior high-school I painted and draw like mad, infected by the virus, called graffiti.
Unfortunately, in univercity things became a lot harder for me and the lack of time tended to become everyday reallity. So, along with graffiti on walls, I started trying other less time-consuming techniques as well, like designing on the computer. This is actually how this website came to life.
At the present I am working as a teacher and given more spare time I have started working on canvas, mainly with akrylic paint. Hopefully a personal art gallery will emerge out of these paintings, so stay tunned!
